First Images of the New Range Rover released
Causing excitement this week in the motoring industry is the release of the first images of the new Range Rover – the first facelift for this iconic vehicle since 2002. The silhouette retains its distinctive look, with perhaps a nod to their own Evoque model.
The full unveiling will take place at the Paris Motor Show in September, when more details we be revealed; however, Land Rover have already released some impressive figures. The new model will weigh 420kg less than its predecessor, thanks in no small part to its all-aluminium body. Rear legroom has been significantly improved, and the interior design has been updated to appear far less busy, with most features accessed through the steering wheel and touchscreen.
Orders will be taken from September onwards, with deliveries expected to begin in January 2013. Happily, this will provide a further boost to manufacturing in the UK, as the vehicles will be built at Land Rover’s Solihull plant.
